2021 Year-End Review

2021 is a year to remember for so many life-sustaining reasons! A lot happened economically, culturally, and relationally. We relied on public and private support to succeed. We engaged in new and exciting adventures to meet the kiddos’ social, emotional, and educational needs. Some of the top experiences and actions included:
- Early Literacy Development Books read – On average, three books a day for 700+
- Nutritious Meals served – Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack daily for 4,000+
- Favorite Children Cognitive and games – On average, one guided educational game a day for 200+
- Motor Games played – Brain building interactions: up to 90 minutes daily Outdoor Playtime
- Al’s Pals Social and Emotional Curriculum
A shown below, Ms. Jackson maintained a strong “Community and Professional Development Engagements” in her role as a family child care provider, mentor, trainer, and industry leader.
- Panelist/Presenter – Association of State Public Health Nutritionists 2021 Farm to ECE Online Learning Session.
- Panelist/Presenter – Farm to CACFP Virginia Department of Health/Division of Community Nutrition -National Farmers Week Farm to Farmers Market like a Pro.
- Joined Fairfax Future ASQ Enterprise Learning Group – Screening & Assessment in early childhood settings.
- Hosted and participated in weekly Child Care Associations meetings throughout the year.
Ms. Jackson’s goal for 2022 is to remain engaged. She is committed to building on 2021 successes amidst uncertainty. She will be relying on business continuity and plans to continue learning, playing, growing, and having fun together.
