Monica Jackson, a Family Day Care Home Provider under the sponsorship of the Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services has been integrating the Farm to CACFP curriculum into her program for quite some time. “Daily, we spend over one-third of our time together eating. With the children in our care up to ten hours a day, it is up to us caretakers to introduce these kids to the role of food, good nutrition, and its interconnection to wellness and life,” said Monica. From garden lessons to local, seasonal food on her menus, she’s one of our Farm to CACFP superstars!
